Dental Scaling, Polishing, and Extractions:
As our canine and feline friends age, their teeth become riddled with tartar and plaque. This tartar buildup can occur for many reasons and is not uncommon. When an animal gets dental disease, it impacts its teeth, gums, heart, and kidneys, similar to it's effects on humans. Although preventative dental care such as teeth brushing or the use of water additives is recommended, anesthetic dental cleaning is typically recommended once every 1-2 years in conjuction with at-home dental care.
Our dental surgeons provide the service of scaling, cleaning, and polishing the teeth, as well as full-mouth dental radiographs under general anesthesia in order to ensure your pet's teeth are healthy from the root to the crown. With dental radiograph capabilities, extractions are confidently determined and performed.
