Vaccinations
Vaccines are important for every pet!
As with humans, vaccinations can save your pet's life. Your pet doesn't necessarily need every vaccine available, but it certainly requires the core vaccines.
What is a "core vaccination"?
Core vaccines are those that protect from diseases that are endemic to a region, those with potential public health significance, required by law, virulent/highly infectious, and/or those posing a risk of severe disease.
Canine CORE vaccinations include: Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis, and Rabies.
Feline CORE vaccines include: Feline Distemper, Calicivirus, herpes virus type I, and Rabies.
Your pet depends on you to keep it healthy. The Eldersburg Veterinary Hospital staff wants to work with you to develop a schedule of vaccinations that meet your cat or dog's unique needs.
